Version: Sygate Personal Firewall 5.6.2808
"Worth Trying But Not Worth Buying"
Pros: Sygate provides inbound and outbound.Offers advanced program controls.
Cons: Sygate firewall is very complex and hard to use especially for beginners.Interface doesn't look good and it's hard to configure. It alerts every time whenever I open a program and doesn't provide much details about it.Couldn't block some leak test techniques. So don't waste your money on this hard to use firewall instead get Zonealarm free or Comodo firewall because they are free and easy to use.

Version: Sygate Personal Firewall 5.6.2808
Pros: Easy to install, configurate and if necessary easy to uninstall without rests. Doesn't lose internet connection. After I installed this version, which is total free, I did the ShieldsUP! test from the Gibson Research Corporation website and found that all tested ports are stealthy, like it must be with a good firewall. Sygate Personal Firewall remembers settings, so it will not give more pop-ups than necessary. Conclusion: Sygate Personal Firewall is the best choice, because it also controls outgoing traffic, while Windows XPSP2 Firewall leaks.

Version: Sygate Personal Firewall 5.6.2808
"Solid protection but to expensive."
Pros: This firewall works like all software firewalls should. It has a nice GUI and passed every test I found to throw at it. It's easy to use and remembers your settings. If you still use "XP" and are willing to shell out $40 bucks for an application of this type then go for it. It is a very good software firewall.
Cons: I have a few issues with it though. First, the price. For $30 dollars more you can get "Kaspersky Internet Security 7". For about twice the cost of this firewall you can buy an encrypted router with a hardware firewall and never have to invest in this type application again. For an "XP" system theres "Comodo firewall Pro". It's free, and just as good as this one. Lastly, I haven't yet been able to locate a "Vista" compatible version and "Vista" is all I use now. I do have a hard drive with "XP" on it that I use on occasion for testing "XP" software. but can't understand why some companies haven't come out with versions compatible with both operating systems.

Version: Sygate Personal Firewall 5.6.2808
Pros: It seems to be doing a good job so far. Like other firewalls such as zonelarm it gives several pop-ups letting you know what it's doing or asking permission to open a program .
Cons: Nothing I can really think of other than it's not free .
